Being a Christian should be fun, but it’s not easy. Along the way we all need people to help us find the next step in our journey with Christ. Helping students find that next step has been the backbone of Adam Robinson’s ministry since day one. For the past twelve years he’s been traveling and preaching at camps, conferences, revivals and other events to help people achieve that goal. And while a decade of camp food isn’t good for anyone he still enjoys traveling and speaking full time. Adam began working with Student Life in 1997 where he started as a seminar speaker, camera operator, truck loader, and general grunt worker. Since then Student Life has been gracious enough to not make him pack trucks anymore and instead lead as camp pastor. Adam grew up in a solid Christian home in Montgomery, Alabama. Like may students who grow up in church, though, Adam found his walk with Christ drifting into boredom and complacency. After a camp experience of his own God helped him walk out of that boredom and into a walk with Jesus that has changed everything. Convinced that many believers struggle in the same place Adam preaches and teaches hoping to help everyone avoid a bland, mediocre religious life and instead find out what a vibrant and life-giving adventure walking with Christ can be.
Adam attended Samford University where he narrowly avoided a career as a lawyer. He then wandered aimlessly for a few years before attending Beeson Divinity School where he earned a Master of Divinity degree. Since then he has been preaching on the road and at his local church for congregations and small groups. When not living out of his car and preaching you can find Adam in Birmingham, AL catching up on his favorite hobbies which include photography, storm chasing, disc golf, and swimming with Great White sharks. Ok, maybe not the last one but it is at the top of his to-do list. You’ll probably also find him with a book by C. S. Lewis in his hand while waiting to get into the shark cage.
Thanks for visiting the site, I hope it's been helpful. Or interesting. Anything but boring, really. While I travel a lot, I do try to reply to all the emails I recieve. You can contact me at adam@adamrobinson.org,
